A funny quick joke. But you could have done more. Like have him try several times to kill himself and fail.

Really good sprite animation and I like the ambience of the settings. Something I'm trying to work on myself. A few things I didn't like, the first you touched on yourself in that the last fight scene made no sense. Don't use up all your video game references at once (that being said, I don't think you need any SMBZ references). Do people watch for the story? Well I do and this left me a little empty. Okay, you've got a good start. Boy from real world sent to video game land. So is this series going to be like Captain N where he goes to different video games to help out? If so, keep throwing in custom characters, that'll make it more interesting.
I guess my last two things is that some of the scenes dragged on a bit to where I was saying "Okay I get it. Let's move on." And I would have liked some inkling to the series main conflict. Who's the villain going to be? What's the threat? You don't have to reveal it all at once, but maybe have had May make a comment or something. Like "Things aren't good. The world's aren't safe anymore. Etc." Okay, I'm done for now. Looking forward to more.

Pienkaito responds:

The thing is, I wanted to showcase my skills in animation and design. Hence why part 1 hasn't revealed a lot of the story yet.
Thank Ran-Cossack for stopping me from going over-the-top. I bet that the series would go totally out of control if he didn't bring back to sanity.

Don't worry. The development took me more than a year, so everything is more or less planned out.
Part 2 will go more into detail to the story.

I want to thank you for the constructive review and I hope, you will stay tuned for the conclusion of episode 1.

I don't know who wrote this or if it's based on some official manga, but I stopped watching when they got to the "Multiverse Tournament" part. It's a boring and lame idea for a plot. I mean, I know it's DBZ and tournaments are popular in the series. But the "Let's gather fighters from different dimensions and pit the against each other" is a little too unoriginal for my tastes. That and the whole "I'll destroy the mulitverse by killing the original universe." I hope they don't go in that direction.

bocodamondo responds:

i think that idea pretty fun and cool. but everyone and his own opinion ^^

Usually when you say "opening sequence", it's taking to mean a short animation that highlights your series. But this is just the menu of the flash. Why would you even upload this? Oh and this didn't influence my score, but that song sucks.

You really need to master the use of movieclips for background elements like the scrolling clouds. That way, they'll keep moving even when you pause for the text boxes.

Punisher33 responds:

That was my real first experement with the background that's why it looks the way it does. my first real try.

I don't get it, you can find all the right sound clips but you can't google 'Final Destination' for a background image?

This looks like an animated remake of another video that did almost the exact same thing. Though I can't remember where I saw it. Even had Cobra Commander shooting him in the end.

Well, I'm looking forward to it. It looks well done and seems to be a Mario/Kirby: Right Back at Ya crossover which will be a nice break from the Sonic crossovers. I just hope you don't pull too many elements from SMBZ (even though this looks like follow-up series). I think you should also make Kirby talk. Mario and Luigi got away with not talking in SMBZ because Sonic and Shadow could talk and made the connection with the audience. I don't think it will work as well if Tiff is the only one of the four heroes who talks.

This didn't lower my score, but that song is getting on my nerves. I don't know what it's from, but it has been used a bunch of times in other sprite intro/trailers.

What exactly will the future hold for Luigi and his friends? It looks like we may never know.

Well, that's one way to make your opponent suffer. Make him play those God-awful bonus stages.
